Throughout her childhood and young adulthood, Bindy Bitterman wrote what she called “pomes” (because POEMS were serious, and she wrote doggerel). She majored in Creative Writing (you know, the Great American Novel syndrome) as a college student, but marriage, children and careers left little time for writing even frivolous rhymes. However with age, bereavement and retirement come time and new sources of inspiration. With the computer comes possibility (and much frustration!). With caffeine comes energy.
